Storing tubos question

Specifically the Gurkha Grand Reserves. Is a humidor necessary if the cigar’s already sealed in a glass tube? Obviously I’d keep it at a reasonable temperature, but would they benefit from storage in a humidor?

tubos....

Temperature will be your concern for sealed, glass tubed cigars. The humidity that is already in the tube is gonna stay there. When they cap those ‘gars with wax, it seals it from any RH variances, compared to ambient. That’s my answer….post a message on the main page for the daily cigar with this question if you wish. No one will mind that it isn’t about the smoke of the day. You’ll get alot of info that way. As far as Gurkhas go, WTF? will be your best source..he is a Gurkha FREAK!! He posts quite often,,especially if you mention that brand…LOL!!

got it.

MEDAL TUBOS i do 1 of 2 things. i take off the cap and put them in my humi, or i remove them completely from the tube (depends on the cigar and how i am feeling). i put it back in the tube when i am going somewhere to smoke it or send to a friend.
WHISKEY TUBOS or any other infused tubo. i am scared. the scent exits the tube somehow. i keep them cool and dry (out of the sun), but i do NOT age them. i would keep them over the winter time, but in the summer (no central air in japan) i light them up. DO NOT PUT THEM IN A HUMI OR COOLERDOR!!!
