Discuss today’s cigar – Sunday Sampler Random 5-pack (Free Shipping)

I myself am very unlikely to buy a random 5 pack and I think this may be true to others. Only 42 would know as he is the one who really knows how well what sells (we might think something that sells out is a popular item but we are not sure how many were offered.) I will assume this is being done because you do not have enough stock to do a full day of any of the cigars listed? That is just my idea why. I don’t know ANYTHING about the way 42 picks buys and sells his selections. So after a long explanation of my reasoning all I really needed to say is, I don’t really like the idea of a random sampler. I do like the idea of the list of cigars that you “Mite” get. I think I would buy a random sampler if it was top shelf only, if that is cost affective for 42.


Btw. I really hope everything is going well with 43. HeHe. Also tell misses 42 !!Happy Mothers Day!! for the first time!!

    Some are “eh?” sticks, most are mid-range, some are “wowzers!” sticks.
    Decent selection, and depending on what’s in your particular pack, it may be even more of a great deal than usual.

I kinda like the random samplers, too, ZBPete. I have always been pleased with my MyStErY SaMpLeRs….I don’t recall ever getting any dog-rockets in mine. You know it will be decent smokes because the offerings here are usually pretty decent and these are probably leftovers.

I know 42 wouldn’t do it if people didn’t want it, so it shows right there. My post was probably convoluted as I did like the idea of having the list, I did notice that. I should have posted it more like a question anyway instead of believing that others think like me.


So I will now I got 2 that say they like the idea vs 1 that doesn’t so far the majority is random sampler = good idea. but that’s only 4 votes so far. Although I believe the trend will continue.

You can add me to the list of people who enjoy these random samplers. I’ll admit that I’m probably a novice smoker, but I do like trying new things, I like having a variety in my humidor, and for <$15, it’s not a tough purchase, as it’s close to impossible to get a fiver of these smokes at my local shop. I’ve sprung for three Sunday samplers so far and haven’t been disappointed with the value.

Maybe now 42 will definately send you some top shelfers now! Or the worst case, you’ll pull the trigger and end up with 5 duds since we tried to convince you..LOL! (I don’t live in Louisville, KY by the way…HAHA!!)

I think that due to the way I SUCK at trying to get my point across in a post it makes me sound like a dick. I hope that’s not true but if it is I will certainly stop posting anything that is not related to the offering of the day. The last thing I want is to be considered a “Snob”, “Dick” or any other negative connotations. I am the furthest thing from it.


This site is GREAT especially for beginners, I wish i knew of it when I started smoking. Which was not to long ago either. Ill consider myself a beginner for a VERY LONG TIME. I have never had an ISOM before nor have I smoked many sticks that cost more than 8 bucks. All I really know about cigars is what I like.


On the subject of randoms it is a good idea for both seller and buyer. It gets rid of inventory that is too low to be used for a full days offering. It also gives you the chance of getting good smokes you have not tried before. I think the list of sticks you could receive is GREAT as it lets you decide if you want any of them or not.


My personal opinion is that I like the Sunday samplers. I just tend to think the normal Sunday samplers are better than the random ones but the price is always better on randoms. People here seam to like the price to stay below $30 including shipping. This makes it very hard to sell any stick that costs more than 5 dollars. From now on I believe I will post more like I did before, more about the sticks being offered than personal opinion. I will stop typing now as the more I type the more I dig my hole deeper making me sound more like a “Dick” rather than making myself sound like a normal person.
