Discuss today’s cigar – Qunitero Belicoso Maduro 5-Pack
This is regarding yesterdays offering of Padilla Obsidian Belicoso. I have one question. I find that the Ligero wrapper is an odd thing and I would like to try others if you know of any? Like I said before I thought this was the only cigar out their (mainstream) wrapped in Ligero. Are there any others you know of out there right now? I would definitely believe someone has tried it in the past but any today? I like the idea and this blend and I am wondering if anyone else pulled it off too. After you said their are others it made me very interested.
That is why I said it was the only one. I thought it was the only one just due to the fact Ligero is a very hard leaf to work with as a wrapper that is why Padilla had to dye theirs. Well actually they didn’t have to do anything but now a days people think there is something wrong with a wrapper with blemishes, many smokers are uneducated about this since it is perfectly normal. Personally I like it, it makes me feel like they aren’t hiding anything and its going to be a great smoke for example “Padron Maduro Cigars” frequently have blemishes but taste out of this world. Since maybe 15%-20% of the whole Ligero crop were blemish free (My own estimate, so take it with a grain of salt. Just trying to say how most will not be flawless.) it was just to add some consistency to the cigars is why they lightly dyed their cigars. So don’t let it put you off, to others reading this it is lightly dyed just to hide some blemishes thats all. This is a Ligero leaf and is naturally dark it is not dyed to fake a maduro at all like some brands do that I wont name as its not my job to out companys that fake their Maduros. Just find out about the wet finger test and you can find out on your own.
